Now part of the McDonald Group (read news story <LINK>), SWL International was founded in 1994 to supply, hire and repair lifting equipment to major industry. We’ve steadily expanded over the years and we now offer an extensive range of services. Our services include certification and testing, nondestructive testing services, electrical inspection, installation and testing, fire retardant testing, training, and sale and hire of lifting equipment.

Today, we have an extensive client base incorporating all the major industry sectors, including oil and gas, renewable energy, civil engineering, manufacturing and fabrication, and the food industry.

Completely customer-focused, we’ve built excellent relationships with many long-term customers and partners. Our clients include the Highland Council, Global Energy Group, Orkney Ferries, Baxters, Siemens, Heavy Crane Contractors, SSE and the FCBC consortium building the new Forth Road Bridge.
